Theo and mamma in Milk Magazine

Lovely piece of press in French Milk magazine. The main picture is so sweet ( photographed by Christian Doyle 3 years ago...) and seems like a lifetime ago...  this little boy has now grown into a seven year old and has had two siblings since.

Springier spring illustration

Ah, couldn't resist. Had to do it straight away. 

Spring has come!

The colours in this illustration don't do spring justice but I love the way spring is bursting out of the seams and the hair of the girls. I should do a green version of this, with butterflies and blossoms.

Hello Book!

Went in to London to meet the publishers of "my" book, face to face. ( Obviously not just mine, lots of people involved.) We had met before, over a colourless Skype connection and Claudette and Anemarieke looked very chic in the nippy London morning. I went on into Earls Court to see the book sitting there, on a shelf, at the London Book fair. My heart made a little jump. Hello Book!

Friday Patterns

Feeling nostalgic in the spring rain... The sound of wind and rain hitting the roof brings back memories of  childhood. Drawing in the attic for hours, waiting for the rain to stop. And then all of a sudden it would! The woods are never more silent than after a spring rain.

My Body!

Well, not mine personally... but all our bodies! They are beautiful. This poster has been made to take the "ugly" out of bodily functions and to make it fun to learn about the functions of our organs. I'm naming the boy Theo and the girl I'm naming after Theo's lovely little friend Emily.

Trollskogen

It's been a while... I thought I'd best show some new work. Ever since our first son was born we have been telling him this troll story where he himself has the leading part and it's now gone to the point where every body in the family is involved. Over the years we have brought over a hand full of trolls to life. Our Trolls live in the old forest of Tiveden in Sweden. We've been to their caves, walked on their paths and swum in their lakes. Once they came on holiday to England and camped in our garden, but that story we were asked never to tell again. Best to keep the trolls further away, not let them get too close...

Here are some spring colours to cheer up and inspire. Can't get enough of triangles and geometrical shapes at the moment, and neither can anyone else it seems! When I choose the designs for the Nova wallpaper range for Isak there weren't many triangles about. Now they're everywhere. Just seems to be in the air. One of those things...

Japanese magazine In-door

A huge thanks to ZhouXun,the editor of Japanese In-door magazine for writing this wonderful 3 spread article on me. I had no idea it was going to be this big, I expected just a single page. Amazing. And two of my three boys are in the pictures. The lovely black and white photo at the top was taken by the lovely Christian Doyle.
