Missing Theo

Theo has gone to Sweden to hunt for Trolls. To build camp fires. To sleep on pine needles under the bare sky with only clouds as a blanket. He's gone to scare the boatmen. He's gone to catch perch with his bare hands, spear snakes with a spear he's whittled himself and to pick wild berries to eat with fresh cream for breakfast. Theo's gone to Sweden to have a whole lot of fun. But I miss him...

Kamikaze black birds

This little illustration is inspired by our kamikaze black birds in the garden. They fly too close, just in between our heads, shortcutting through our dinner eatings with big fat worms dangling in their beaks.

Soup anyone?

Weeding in the garden is good fun with a 1 year old. The "weed" ( carefully cultivated lillies and most things from the beautifully flowering herb garden ) is pulled up, roots and all and then tossed into the paddling pool. "Yum yum" he grinns while stiring with an oversized plastic spade same height he is. Maybe weeding is best done after 7 pm. I should have known...
