Japanese magazine In-door

A huge thanks to ZhouXun,the editor of Japanese In-door magazine for writing this wonderful 3 spread article on me. I had no idea it was going to be this big, I expected just a single page. Amazing. And two of my three boys are in the pictures. The lovely black and white photo at the top was taken by the lovely Christian Doyle.

Revenge is sweet!

When I was a little girl we had the most amazing bedding in thick cotton and brown and white flowers printed on it. To me it was the most wonderful thing. My mum hated it. It reminded her of the seventies. She couldn't throw it away because grandma had given it to her so it served as the spare set. But one day when I wasn't looking she chucked it, and I've missed it since. Found it on a photograph though... And now, me and mum have matching dresses in the old bedding and she can't throw that away can she?!

After all the malaki with Kokka copying my designs - these great pictures came through today to cheer me up. My cooperation with Skip Hop is going very well! They have turned my patterns and drawings into this beautiful activity gym and toys. I could not be happier! And I can not wait for my boys to play with these. Missing Theo

Theo has gone to Sweden to hunt for Trolls. To build camp fires. To sleep on pine needles under the bare sky with only clouds as a blanket. He's gone to scare the boatmen. He's gone to catch perch with his bare hands, spear snakes with a spear he's whittled himself and to pick wild berries to eat with fresh cream for breakfast. Theo's gone to Sweden to have a whole lot of fun. But I miss him...

Kamikaze black birds

This little illustration is inspired by our kamikaze black birds in the garden. They fly too close, just in between our heads, shortcutting through our dinner eatings with big fat worms dangling in their beaks.

Soup anyone?

Weeding in the garden is good fun with a 1 year old. The "weed" ( carefully cultivated lillies and most things from the beautifully flowering herb garden ) is pulled up, roots and all and then tossed into the paddling pool. "Yum yum" he grinns while stiring with an oversized plastic spade same height he is. Maybe weeding is best done after 7 pm. I should have known...
